Many thanks to those of you who took the trouble to return your forms
early so that I could post the results before Christmas. As you will see
a simple majority verdict decided the results for each question.
I am looking forward to meeting up with you all in April.
In what has become something of a tradition since the first Reunion, I shall be spending an evening in the Warwick whilst I am in Bristol in the New Year. If any of you care to join me for the odd shandy or two I shall in the Lounge bar on Friday 7th January from 8pm. Hope you can make it. Paul.STOP PRESSTHE BUG BITES I?m afraid I must apologise for ?jumping the gun? a little
when I sent out details of our Millennium Reunion. In my rush to get the
info out before Christmas I had to commit to print before actually booking
the venue. I had hoped to re-book the Chequers for this years get-together
but unknown to me the room was no longer being hired out to parties! Doh!
A few phone calls around several local hostelries revealed that few had
rooms for hire. Ray Powell managed to provisionally book a room at the
Wackum (the end of Whitehall Road) but I felt that this was a little out
of the way of our old haunts (& a little too far to crawl home afterwards)!
But thanks for your efforts Ray. Eventually (with help from Alan Propert,
cheers Alan) I have managed to book the function room at the Portcullis
on Fishponds Road. For those of you who are not familiar with the pub,
it is situated next to Dr. Bells school, opposite the big Safeway store
(where there is adequate parking). In order to cover costs we shall be
organising a raffle on the night. We have been asked by the landlord to
supply an estimate of how many will be attending so that he can arrange
bar staff etc. so please complete the form below and return it to Alan
at the address given. Please don?t delay as we do need the information
as soon as possible.
